TD hypothesis

Getting my butt kicked, as usual. (At $2/$4, though, so it's a cheaper learning experience--- only down $64 at the moment.)

Normally paired cards tend to help you because your opponents will have one fewer out. And a hand which starts with paired deuces will probably face slightly weaker hands when called--- and is less likely to be called anyway.

But a hand that starts with paired eights might be weaker than the unpaired version, because when it is called it is more likely to be up against a 7 draw.
