Once more... PLO short stacks

Can somebody please explain in terms that are simple enough for me to understand, whether all the people getting uber-nitty about short-stack PLO players have a legitimite gripe or not? (Like this 2+2 thread where somebody accuses a bunch of short-stack players of being bots.)

"If they were good they would play for a full buy-in" is just nittiness.

"They remove all the play from the game" (because they are typically all-in on the flop) is just nittiness--- play limit instead. ;)

The closest I've come is someone complaining that other people playing short-stacked interferes with the big stack's ability to extract value from other deep stacks. (Without, presumably, benefitting the short stack as much as it hurts the big stack.) Which I'm not quite seeing, but what do I know, I'm just a stupid limit player.
