I didn't think any of the tapas we tried were particularly outstanding. We had Piquillo Peppers stuffed with Goat Cheese, Potato-Mushroom Croquette, Pomme Frites, and (I think) the L'Assiette de Charcutrie. The croquettes were very mashed-potato-ey and I didn't really taste the mushroom. The peppers tasted better but not very interesting.
I had the Wild Mushroom Fettuccine, which was pleasant but also not very interesting. The mushrooms didn't have a lot of flavor.
Dinner for seven with two bottles of wine came to a bit more than $300. I think there are better options in that price range, even within Palo Alto. (The service was slow because they were short-staffed, so the bartender did double duty.) The wine list is extensive, but we still had difficulty identifying a Cabernet that we liked.
