dd_b and I headed for one of our standard Bay-Area sushi places, Sushi Maru in Sunnyvale. But the neighborhood around it looked strangely deserted--- and when we got to the restaurant, there was a sign indicating they had relocated to Milpitas. It looked like the whole mini-mall was slated for destruction.

So we went back to Castro Street, but Sono Sushi was closed Monday. So we were 0-2. We ended up going to a previously-untried Japanese restuarant, Tsunami Sushi. We were fairly pleased, though not blown away, but it awas a bit more spendy than the sushi-boat places. DDB was happy that their California rolls do not include mayo. I tried some spicy scallop rolls, which were slimier than I anticipated.
