As the Market Turns

Sun Microsystems used to trade under SUNW. Then it was rebranded to JAVA. But after the 4:1 reverse split, it will trade under JAVAD for 20 days, then revert to JAVA. Unless a long-lost twin turns up or somebody recovers from amnesia or something.

Google finance isn't keeping up, but Yahoo! has the new ticker symbol. It'll take some time for me to get used to a 1% shift meaning 20 cents instead of 5 cents, though. (Actually, I'm not sure that Yahoo converted my portfolio correctly...)

Later: **** that! Ameritrade charged me a $20 "mandatory reorganization fee" for the reverse split! I should have kept the stupid stock certificate hanging on my wall. If I'd know that I'd have voted against it...
