I'm getting kind of tired of the refrigerators at my usual hotels. The controls on most of them are broken and they are usually stuck way too low--- cans of soda freeze up solid. The internet access has been pretty flaky this time too.
I tried Dancy Sushi (San Antonio Road in Mountain View) last night, since it's close to work. It was OK, but it won't be a priority for dinner. They gave me a very nice complementary appetizer--- fried squid in a spicy + honey sauce, and the gyoza were good. The cuts of maguro were generous but tough, and the tempura roll I ordered was unwieldy and came with a sauce I found somewhat unpleasant. But the service was friendly and the sashimi looked very fresh.
On Sci-Fi, "Pitch Black" sponsored by "Underworld: Rise of the Lycans" with promos for "Battlestar Galactica" is a color-palette... um... experience? Underexperience? Let's just say the chrominance signal is not getting much of a workout.
