I finished playing Penny Arcade: Rain-slick Precipice of Darkness, part 3 tonight. The ending was not very satisfactory. (But not, I think, as unsatisfactory as the giant robot interrupting the boss fight in part 2.) For a deliberate throwback in game style, it was amusing and entertaining enough. The battles were generally easy (sometimes to the point of repetitiveness) but I wasn't particularly motivated to turn the difficulty up to the top level. $5 was about the right price.

I'm also watching "Sherlock" which (as I've ranted about on twitter) is not nearly as clever as it thinks it is. Introducing last-minute reasons not to do the obvious thing doesn't make your characters clever, it just shows you're a bad writer. ("Don't destroy the phone with all my blackmail material--- there might be something that saves lives! It could happen.") But ranting is half the fun.
