A micro-study of NFS operation sizes

Over at the Tintri blog, I wrote a study of NFS operation sizes in Tintri's customer base. I looked at averages weighted by operation and by byte, and tried to apply K-means clustering to the data to discover patterns of usage.

Here's a visualization I didn't include in that blog entry. It shows a timeline for several production VMstores, with each time point colored based on the characteristics of its read sizes. Many VMstores have a stable workload, others less so. (White areas are missing data.)
